Join us at DTU Construct and help shape the future of sustainable building materials and innovation in construction.Responsibilities And QualificationsWe seek highly motivated and creative researchers holding a PhD in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of high-quality, independent research.Your primary responsibilities will include:Designing, synthesizing, formulating, and characterizing novel living building materials (LBMs) derived from biowaste.Designing and conducting experiments to study gene–mineral interactions, including the regulation of calcium carbonate or silica precipitation.Using 3D printing and advanced bio-fabrication technologies for LBMs development and prototyping.Designing efficient architectures for energy storage within building elements.Performing electrochemical analyses using techniques including impedance spectroscopy, galvanostatic cycling, and cyclic voltammetry.Balancing CO₂ absorption, mechanical strength, and electrochemical performance in your multifunctional LBMs.Integrating quantum-enhanced machine learning for analysing complex experimental datasets generated from multifunctional LBMs. You will also actively participate in the supervision and mentoring of bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students.You should be a capable communicator in English have solid experience in academic writing.As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).We offerDTU is a leading technical university globally recognized for the excellence of its research, education, innovation and scientific advice.
