Our work supports infants, toddlers, young learners and their whānau, with a focus on excellence, equity, and connection across Aotearoa.Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:We’re searching for a values-led Māori leader to join us as Pouhere Kaupapa Māori - a key strategic role that ensures Māori and Pasifika perspectives are at the heart of all we do.As Pouhere, You WillLead the design and implementation of Māori and Pasifika strategiesChampion bicultural integrity and uphold Te Tiriti o WaitangiGuide staff in tikanga and culturally responsive practicesInfluence the development of academic programmes through a bicultural lensBuild strong relationships with iwi, hapū, Māori organisations and communitiesMaintain close liaison with government agencies and external sector stakeholders Lead and support international partnerships, events, study tours, and indigenous culture initiativesContribute as an active and respected member of our Senior Leadership TeamMōu | About You:We are looking for someone with deep cultural grounding, strong leadership and advisory experience, and a passion for equity, education, and transformation.Hold a Masters qualification in Education, Te Ao Māori, or a related fieldActively engaged in research and supporting teams with a strong te ao Māori lensMinimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior leadership levelWillingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationallyWe offer a meaningful bicultural environment with opportunities to lead a strong kaupapa that benefits our tauira and tamariki.Join us and help shape a future where every learner thrives.Applications close Sunday 9th November 2025 Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and suitable candidates may be contacted before the closing date.
