Our client, a leading health system, is seeking a Practice Manager to support their network of physician practices across Georgia. This management position serves as a liaison between the system's outpatient physician practices and the hospital home office, assuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures and maintaining a productive, financially secure work environment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperationalProvides leadership for practice coordinators and office managers/staff, assuring compliance with policies and procedures.In concert with the Director, develops departmental goals and objectives and polices, and procedures that meet the hospital pharmacy service needs.Develops and maintains systems, techniques, and procedures appropriate to physician practices.Participates in and coordinates the design and construction of new facilities and renovations to existing facilities as necessary.Coordinates the Marketing of the practice and the promotion of special events for clinics.Fiscal ManagementDevelops and submits appropriate capital and operating budgets, and is accountable for the achievement of capital and operating budget objectives within areas of responsibility.Identify opportunities to maximize capital and budget resources to improve service levels or reduce costs.Performs ad hoc financial analyses for the clinics and prepares standard and specialized reports as needed.Responsible for accounts receivable management in assigned clinics: develops, maintains, and attains budget objectives for assigned clinics.Human ResourcesIn conjunction with the Human Resources Department, determines human resource needs and develops or assists in the development of programs to maintain and improve the quality and efficiency of the assigned department.Recruits, hires, orients, and evaluates the performance of Supervisor(s) or Coordinator(s) and other assigned personnel to assure that the department is staffed with individuals who reflect behavior and performance consistent with the hospital's Mission and Values statement. Has authority to hire, terminate, and/or take other disciplinary action as may be deemed appropriate and is in accordance with hospital policy.Develops and manages a master staffing plan for assigned areas in conjunction with the approved budget.Identifies educational and training needs of departmental staff or individual(s) impacting assigned functions and plans with other appropriate staff members for the implementation of training needs.CommunicationsCommunicates and coordinates with the assigned practices and physicians daily operational activities necessary to provide an efficient and quality service. Advises the Director of problems that negatively impact or prevent the effective operations of their department.Communicates regularly with departmental staff to keep them abreast of information that will assist in the safe and effective performance of their jobs and to create an understanding of hospital-wide performance and direction.Essential Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Science in Business Administration or a healthcare-related field required OR an Associate's Degree and 4 years of related healthcare experience. Two years of previous practice management experienceAbility to develop, organize, and implement various programs.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Evidence of an ability to work well with others, a team player.Evidence of teaching skills.MHA or MBA preferred.Technical ProficiencyAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
