Salary £35,561 - £47,415Location Cromwell Road, London This is a Fixed Term Contract, Full Time vacancy that will close in a month at 23:59 GMT. The RoleThe Preventive Conservator (Environment) works closely with the Lead Preventive Conservator to deliver preventive conservation services and support for the V&A’s collections across its multiple sites. The post holder will have a primary focus on managing risks from environmental factors such as temperature, relative humidity, and light. They will support and maintain the environmental monitoring system (EMS) across all V&A sites. They will acquire, analyse, and report on environmental data to key stakeholders, and provide advice and guidance to teams across all V&A sites. They will also undertake and support research that enables the delivery of the museum’s Public Programme and strategic objectives in care of collections. Focus is on high-quality service provision, ensuring that all work performed is accurate, complete and performed within the time frames defined by the department.The V&AThe V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.8 million objects, books and archives that span over 5,000 years of human creativity.
