Job Description

Job Title:Pricing Manager Job Objective:To manage and optimize the pricing process by ensuring a balanced alignment between customer target rates and vendor-provided rates. The Pricing Manager is responsible for negotiating with vendors to secure the best transport rates possible that meet customer expectations and enable successful deal closures while maintaining company profitability and competitiveness.Key Responsibilities:Market and Cost Analysis:Analyze local and regional transport rates and market trends. Monitor operating costs such as fuel, tolls, maintenance, and driver wages.Provide regular market updates to ensure competitive pricing decisions. 2.vendor Communication and Negotiation:Communicate and negotiate with carriers to obtain the most competitive freight rates.Ensure alignment between carrier rates and customer target prices.Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to secure capacity at favorable prices. 3.Pricing Strategy Development:Develop and maintain pricing models based on service type (FTL, LTL, domestic, cross-border, special loads, etc.).Set profit margin guidelines based on client type and operation size.Regularly review pricing to maintain both competitiveness and profitability. 4.Sales and Operations Support:Provide accurate and timely quotations to the sales team.Review and approve prices for new contracts or special requests.Coordinate with operations to confirm carrier availability before finalizing offers. 5.
