Primary Services is actively recruiting for an Entry-Level UAT Tester to support a leading organization in the energy industry. This position is ideal for an analytical professional with a solid understanding of billing systems who can identify functional gaps, execute tests, and work closely with technical and business teams to ensure accurate and seamless billing operations. Responsibilities:
Review business requirements and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test cases for billing applications. Execute manual and automated tests for system enhancements, updates, and new functionality. Identify, log, and manage software defects using issue tracking systems such as JIRA. Analyze test results, determine root causes of anomalies, and collaborate with developers for timely fixes. Validate billing logic, calculations, invoice generation, and system data integrity. Perform regression testing during system patches or upgrades. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to confirm requirements and validate test outcomes. Support test data creation and environment preparation.
Recommend and implement improvements to QA practices and documentation standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in application testing or QA, preferably in billing or financial systems. Proficiency in billing processes and invoicing workflows. Experience using test case and defect management tools. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
