Job Description We are seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Principal Engineer - Highways to join our innovative team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our engineering department, you will lead complex highway projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence in our organization. Lead the design and development of complex highway projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for transportation infrastructure Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical skills and professional growth Utilize advanced software tools such as ORD and Civil 3D for design coordination and project delivery Analyze and propose alternative designs based on site requirements and project objectives Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures throughout project lifecycles Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project success Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in highway engineering Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation and client presentations Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized global organization 15+ years of experience in the design of roads, streets, highways, and motorways Proficiency in ORD software and Civil 3D software for design and coordination Demonstrated experience working on international projects, preferably on the GDC platform Strong knowledge of local and international highway design standards and regulations Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and fostering team development Experience with BIM and CDE in a collaborative engineering environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to propose innovative solutions Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts Experience in traffic analysis and transportation planning Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
