Working with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.As a Principal Planning Analyst - Components, you will lead a small team in the management of parts under contract that support the Qantas mainline fleet, ensuring contracted part availability targets are met to support On-Time Performance (OTP). This involves managing parts that are contract and modification. You will also monitor supplier performance by working with stakeholders to resolve shortages and improve reliability, as well as contribute to improvement initiatives such as system upgrades and fleet modification programs.This role is a mix of hands-on supply chain operations and contracted supplier engagement, requiring strong analytical skills, process discipline, and the ability to collaborate across Qantas Engineering and with external suppliers.You’ll have –Experience in supply chain planning, purchasing or inventory managementMinimum 5 years’ experience in demand planning and inventory optimisationStrong understanding of planning, purchasing, and inventory control principlesConfident using a variety of computer systems, particularly inventory planning tools, Microsoft Excel, and AccessExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build and maintain relationships at senior levels, with a strong stakeholder management approachDemonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience managing and leading teamsStrong analytical and financial acumen, with effective problem-solving skillsA proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementWhy Qantas?
