An exciting opportunity exists to join a dynamic team as a Principal Project Officer, driving positive change through the Respectful Relationships Education (RRE).As Principal Project Officer, you will play a key role in promoting effective respectful relationships in schools, and help create safer, more inclusive communities.This role offers a unique opportunity to influence education policy and practice to strengthen RRE as a whole-school primary prevention approach, work collaboratively on the development of teaching and learning resources, deliver engaging and impactful collaborative forums, and design awareness raising strategies and promotion materials.About The Department Of EducationWorking for the Queensland Department of Education means joining an organisation that values its people and promotes leadership and innovation. Find out more about working with us .About The RoleResponsibilities include, but not limited to:Lead and participate in project teams to undertake project planning, implementation and review and undertake ongoing research and analysis of contemporary issues related to the relevant projects.Prepare project management and production documents, briefing materials, correspondence, submissions, papers and reports on related activities of the program/work unit.Lead and coordinate the development and production of a range of products, services and activities to facilitate a cohesive and supportive team environment.Develop strategies in partnership with key stakeholders, business areas and providers to ensure the delivery and monitoring of agreed program/work unit outcomes encouraging a strong customer focus.Consistently provide high level leadership and participation to the project team in undertaking project planning, implementation and review.About youHighly Desirable Skills And ExperienceHighly organised with demonstrated capability to manage a high volume of work, meet timelines, maintain confidentiality, and work autonomously to achieve required outcomes to a high standard within set timeframes and budgetsComprehensive knowledge of Australian Curriculum Version 9 (particularly Health and Physical Education), Health Senior Syllabus, and systemic priorities regarding respectful relationships education as a whole-school primary prevention approach, curriculum implementation, and effective pedagogical practicesA team player with exceptional written and verbal communication, including presentation and group facilitation skillsAdaptable, shows initiative and a keen problem solver who works towards finding effective solutions.Interested?
