This role is ideal for a seasoned technologist who thrives in complex environments, drives innovation, and mentors engineering teams to deliver world-class products. You will play a critical role in shaping our technical strategy and implementation, engineering best practices, and engineering culture.At LSEG, we prioritize equal opportunity and are committed to building diverse teams that foster collaboration and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the cloud native application design and implementation of complex software systems.Build and demonstrate a breadth of knowledge of various domains within technology, understanding the linkages and dependencies of projects/work.Advise stakeholders internally as a software development SME applying deep expertise of software development.Drive technical excellence across teams through code reviews, cyber security review, mentorship, and best practices.Collaborate with application architect, product management and cross-functional engineering teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.Leads the delivery of critical projects, working autonomously and with little direction; may ensure completion of work from other team members, mentoring and delegating work when required.Ensure high standards of security, reliability, and performance in all deliverablesQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven hands-on experience as a lead/senior or principal software engineer in large-scale software development.Expertise in modern programming languages (e.g. Python, Java).Strong understanding of AWS cloud platforms and content distributed systems.Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.Experience with micro-services architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is considered an advantage.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Proven a positive and high-energy personal commitment with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
