Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Principal System Engineer (f/m/d) with a strong background and experience in Systems Development for Sensing Applications.In this position you will fill the role of the System and Product Architect (R&D), support the generation of new product ideas and ensure conceptionally right system and chip architectures.Your work will provide a solid foundation for the product definition and chip implementation teams.Activities And ResponsibilitiesYou will act as the main interface between the customer (Product Line internal and external customer) and R&D and drive the translation of Customer Requirements into Product Requirements.You will challenge the Customer Requirements Specification (CRS) until it is understood and accepted by all parties involved and own the Product Requirements Specification (PRS) and Product Architecture Specification (PAS).You will technically lead a cross-functional team and derive the most suitable product architecture, guide the hardware / software system partitioning as well as potential system in package (SiP) approaches and act as peer to the product definition engineer.You drive and lead the clarification of technical matters during project execution for the hardware and software design teams e.g., origin of specified requirements, architecture and implementation decisions, trade-off leadership.You will drive and lead definition of confirmation measures for Pre-Si, Post-Si and production test.A significant part of your role will focus on innovation and the addition of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence features in Sensor Systems.Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work alongside product, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure a seamless flow from product concept to execution, ensuring the design is robust and aligned with customer expectations.Mentoring: you will mentor junior engineers from different technical background, sharing your expertise in system integration, packaging, and product specification, helping them grow within the team.Key Qualities And SkillsDynamic & Motivated: You bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, driving technical discussion forward with a results-oriented approach.
