Leveraging on Deloitte's global resources and reach, our Tax professionals keep clients abreast of developments that have tax implications and advise them in structuring investments, merger and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax planning and compliance. Deloitte Private focused on privately held businesses and their owner families helping them with advising on wealth structuring, general and tax reporting obligations, family succession planning and tax efficiency of specific investments.Deloitte Private focuses on the private client segment which represents a significant and growing market in Asia Pacific and is foundational to building Deloitte’s scale and earnings in the region. As at FY20, Deloitte Private represents around 22% of the AP Firm and is one of the fastest growing parts of Deloitte in most markets we operate.Specifically, Deloitte Private refers to the community of people and area of all business units, focused on working with clients in the following categories:Family Enterprises, incl HNW, their family businesses and Family OfficePrivate equity firmsPrivate companiesEmerging growth companiesWork you’ll doYou will join our team of dedicated Deloitte Private tax specialists, providing advice to privately held businesses and their owners. You will be one of the primary contacts for very wealthy Asian and global families and become a trusted advisor to those clients. You will supervise a team of specialised international professionals in executing projects and will coordinate advise across multiple geographies and service lines within Deloitte. After an introductory period you will frequently travel to Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries and meet clients/targets on your own or jointly with a Deloitte tax partner. Ideally, you would be based or spend a larger connected period of time in Indonesia or another major target market to work more closely with the local Deloitte Private professionals in those markets. You will report directly to the Tax Partner of Deloitte Private for Asia Pacific.ResponsibilitiesReview of tax advice, especially those with cross border elementsFamily office establishment including immigration and Section 13D/O/U incentivesProviding tax compliance and advisory services to a mixed portfolio of corporate and individual clientsTax researchSuccession and estate planningPreparation of proposals/ presentations and assisting with business development etc.Managing client relationships and planning engagementsAttending or organizing networking events and presentationsQualifications and Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, law or other related fields. An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.At least 12 years of tax advisory experience, preferably with an international accounting/ law firm.Strong written and verbal communication skillsHas an analytical mind and meticulousAbility to work under tight deadlines
