Process & Performance EngineerLocation: Staverton (On-site, 5 days per week)Hours: 37 hours per week (Core hours: 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, with early finish Friday)Are you an engineering-minded problem solver who loves improving processes, challenging norms, and delivering real operational results? Here at Saint Gobain Abrasives, we’re looking for a Process & Performance Engineer to join our Staverton manufacturing site, producing high-precision, bespoke dresser products.What You’ll Be DoingReviewing current manufacturing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.Investigating quality rejects, understanding why issues occur, and putting robust corrective actions in place.Leading and supporting projects focused on process improvement and performance optimisation.Using tracker tools and data to understand trends, ask the right questions, and challenge what doesn’t make sense.Applying Lean, Six Sigma or WCM tools to improve efficiency and capability.Supporting compliance to ISO standards (ISO 9001 & 14001).Contributing to our Manufacturing 4.0 journey by helping introduce modern, digital tools and methods.Providing on-the-ground engineering support to maintain smooth, efficient production.What We’re Looking ForEngineering mindset — ideally mechanical, production, or similar.Understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.Experience delivering improvements, leading small projects, or influencing change.Comfortable spotting problems, asking “why?”, and challenging existing ways of working.Knowledge of WCM, Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods (nice to have).Understanding of ISO standards or quality systems (desirable).Analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.Confident communicator who can work well with production teams, engineers, and wider stakeholders.Why Join Us?Work with bespoke engineering products in a high-precision environment.Ownership and autonomy drive meaningful improvement projects.Opportunity to grow your career within a global, innovative engineering organisation.Supportive team culture where continuous improvement is at the heart of what we do.Early Friday finish!
