Under limited supervision, assumes full buying responsibility for selected categories. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, planning, production, and inventory control.This position will sit onsite in our Atlanta Support Center 80% of the time.ResponsibilitiesEnables brands to efficiently and effectively maximize the value they receive from suppliers Conducts sourcing events as required for the categories within the scope of responsibility, selecting the best choice for Inspire.Ensures all legal documents are in place for each supplier, including NDA, Master Supplier Agreement, and Product AgreementsConducts the RFP process, bid analysis and review, contract negotiations, and blanket purchase agreement creation.Develop/execute purchasing strategies for products including monitoring macro trends in supplier base, implementing plans to react, and developing/executing purchasing strategies for products.Identify and realize cost-savings and cost-reduction opportunities Ensure the supply chain has adequate production capacity to meet the needs of the business in compliance on spec and at competitive costs.Develop ideas for cost savings initiatives within owned categories.Evaluate potential margin initiatives, document with business case and champion change in support of department/company initiatives.Minimizes risk of supply disruptionIdentifies supply and supplier issues.
