In office location can be Port Kembla NSW or Mascot NSW with regular office days in Port Kembla. We are open to discussing flexible and hybrid arrangements available through our B-flex program.The Paint category is a high-profile portfolio within our Group Procurement stream. It impacts 15 operational sites across 9 countries and contributes to the long-term strategy for our premium branded products, like our iconic COLORBOND® steel.This is not just a supplier and contract management gig – provide expert Procurement leadership on multiple Innovation and Market facing projects that shape and strengthen the future of our premium painted brands.What Will You DoSupported by a Category Specialist you will:develop and implement business aligned and commercially focused procurement strategies that enable long-term security and success of our painted products businessesfacilitate a ‘whole of business’ approach across diverse geographical and business boundaries (globally)acquire an in-depth understanding of the product, business and market requirements including a thorough knowledge of relevant paint technologiescontribute to key strategic product and process innovation projects, leading the development of the supply and supplier partnership strategies for theseidentify and deliver value creation projects for painted products and processes including operational efficiencies and supplier led innovationestablish strategic relationships with domestic and global suppliers including negotiation of key contracts to deliver value and mitigate risk for BlueScopemonitor and manage contract performance, leveraging technology advancements and improving controls to deliver value, dependable supply and quality, and improved sustainability outcomespartner with and influence cross functional teams such as Manufacturing, Innovation & Technology and Marketing to achieve shared business outcomesensure governance via compliance with procurement policies, procedures and systemsMore About YouWhere you’ll add value is your enthusiasm and ability to learn about your Category deeply, both internally and externally.
