Job Description

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the entire procurement cycle, from identifying reliable suppliers to ensuring timely delivery of materials and services required for Our Client ongoing projects. The role demands a strong understanding of sourcing strategies, cost control, and vendor management within the construction and engineering sectors. The candidate will ensure that all purchases are aligned with company policies, budgetary constraints, and project timelines, maintaining transparency and efficiency in all procurement operations. · Experience Required: 6 years· Driving License: MandatoryKEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project needs, ensuring materials and services are acquired at the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.· Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and subcontractors through market research, pre-qualification, and performance assessments.· Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with contractual and quality standards.· Prepare purchase orders, request for quotations (RFQs), and tender documents in coordination with the technical and project management teams.· Monitor and track purchase requisitions, orders, and deliveries to ensure timely material availability at project sites.· Maintain an up-to-date supplier and vendor database, including supplier performance records, pricing history, and approved material lists.· Ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications, maintaining documentation for audits and ISO or client reviews.· Coordinate with project, site, and finance departments to obtain material approvals, verify invoices, and ensure proper budget allocation.· Analyze market trends and cost variations to forecast procurement risks and recommend cost optimization strategies.· Review material submittals, samples, and technical data to confirm compliance with engineering or consultant requirements before procurement.· Handle logistics and delivery coordination, ensuring all purchased materials reach project sites within scheduled timelines.· Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions in case of delays, quality issues, or noncompliance with terms.· Prepare periodic procurement reports summarizing supplier performance, purchase volumes, and cost-saving achievements for management review.REQUIREMENTS· Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.· Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on procurement experience in the construction or MEP industry within the UAE or GCC region.· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, MEP equipment, and local/international suppliers.· Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, MS Office (especially Excel), and procurement tracking tools.· Negotiation & Communication Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate terms, build relationships, andcommunicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.· Analytical & Planning Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze supplier performance, market pricing, and cost variances.· Driving License: Valid UAE driving license is mandatory for supplier visits, site coordination, and local procurement activities.· Personal Attributes: Reliable, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple procurement tasks under tight deadlines.
