As Procurement Officer, you’ll play a key role in sourcing ingredients and packaging, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to meet production demands. What’s On Offer:Role type: Full-Time Permanent, On-SiteLocation: DonegalSalary: €46,000 DOEWorking Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, No WeekendsBenefits: 6% Pension Contribution, Life Insurance, Income Protection, Sick PayThe opportunity to shape exciting new products within a fast-growing, innovation-led food business.A collaborative team culture that encourages creativity and professional development.Clear pathways for career progression within a progressive manufacturing environment.The Opportunity:You’ll be part of a supportive Supply Chain team, working closely with Quality, Production, and Commercial departments to ensure materials are sourced responsibly, delivered on time, and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Source and purchase raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to support daily production and new product development.Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply chain capability and resilience.Monitor global commodity and raw material trends to inform strategic purchasing decisions.Support price negotiations, supplier contracts, and commercial agreements.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance, reliability, and value.Coordinate delivery schedules in line with production planning requirements.Conduct supplier site visits and audits to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement across the supply chain.Maintain accurate records and procurement data in line with company policies.Collaborate closely with internal teams to support business goals and operational efficiency.About You:Minimum 2 years’ experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within the food, dairy, or FMCG sector.Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.Solid understanding of food safety, supplier compliance, and logistics operations.Knowledge of customs, excise, and import/export regulations for ROI and UK is an advantage.
