It gives us a single set of expectations across our lines, geographies and career paths, and provides transparency on the skills we need as individuals to be successful and progress in our careers, now and in the future.As a Manager in the Procurement Excellence team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.You will manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous process improvement. You will also play a key role in developing strategic supplier relationships and implementing procurement best practices.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing sourcing projects from identification of requirements through to contract establishment and supplier onboardingConducting market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify optimal sourcing opportunitiesLeading tender processes including pre-tender clarification meetings, commercial adjudication, and post-tender negotiationsDeveloping and maintaining strategic supplier relationships across various commodity categoriesEnsuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout all procurement activitiesCollaborating with internal stakeholders including finance, operations, and technical teams to deliver integrated procurement solutionsMonitoring supplier performance and managing contract lifecycle including variations, escalations, and renewalsImplementing process improvements and driving procurement transformation initiativesMaintaining accurate procurement records and producing performance reports for managementSupporting business development by identifying cost reduction opportunities and strategic sourcing initiativesPreferred skills and qualifications:Degree in Finance/Supply Chain/Procurement/Project Management or NQF 7 equivalent (Desirable)Enrolled for or completed procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageousStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with sourcing systems, particularly SAP Ariba or CoupaStrong commercial knowledge of market commodities and servicesExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAttention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationMinimum years experience required:7+ years of experience in:Procurement or sourcing rolesContract management and supplier relationship managementCommercial operations within a corporate environmentWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive procurement team that drives commercial excellence and stakeholder value creation.
