DepartmentFinanceEmployee TypeProbationaryJob Responsibilities Supervises the procurement process within the property ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services at optimal costs while maintaining high standards of quality. He/she collaborates with various departments to understand their needs, identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives. Collaborate with department heads to identify procurement needs and forecast demand. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, price, and delivery speed. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly Review purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders. Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including specifications, quantities, and delivery dates. Track the status of orders and expedite delivery as necessary to meet project deadlines. Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Analyze pricing trends and negotiate competitive prices with suppliers. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation. Supervise and mentor procurement staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize the procurement process. Stay updated on industry trends and developments in procurement practicesQualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. Solid understanding of procurement regulations and best practices. Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is an added advantage.
