The Produce Manager oversees operations and staffing for the produce department and ensures quality and freshness of all produce. Reports to the Market Manager.Organizes and directs the store’s produce department to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, quality and guest experience standards and policiesManages the produce team: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, performance evaluation in collaboration with the HR departmentEnsures produce counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandized effectively Responsible for ordering, receiving, display and sale of all products in accordance to company quality and merchandising standardsEnsures excellent customer service is provided at all timesAnalyzes financial data, develops and implements strategies and process improvements to drive sales and increase profitability and efficienciesEnsures proper inventory management is implemented and maintainedManage product storage and rotation activities to reduce wastage and damagesWorks closely with the culinary and kitchen team to ensure that production consistently meets the store’s needs for retail, quick service and restaurantsSupervises cleaning and maintenance of storage and counters according to Company’s standards, and arranges, upon cost approval, repairs, contracts and other services when neededDocuments, investigates, escalates and resolves employee and guest incidents in collaboration with HR departmentManages and acts as point of contact for any third-party vendors and ensures compliance with Eataly’s standards and policies, and provides proper communication flow between management teamsResponsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, OHSA, and other regulatory requirementsMaintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirementsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree3+ years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsBusiness management and financial analysis skillsExperience purchasing and managing inventoryAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekendsAbility to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to operate equipment such as a slicer, pasta machine or cash register as neededAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveRRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!Eataly is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
