Position OverviewFor over 150 years, our dedication to being the Global Hausbank for our clients has been driven by our people – in around 60 countries and across more than 150 nationalities.Their deep understanding, insights, expertise, and passion help our clients navigate an increasingly complex world – be it in our Corporate Bank, our Private Bank, our Investment Bank or our Asset Management division.As a 2nd Line of Defence (LOD) function, the Compliance Department seeks to protect the Bank’s licenses to operate by promoting and enforcing adherence with laws, regulations, rules, expectations of regulators, the standards of self-regulatory organizations, and codes of conduct / ethics in connection with the Bank’s regulated activities, and driving a culture of compliance and ethical conduct in the Bank. It seeks to provide independent and objective assurance to the Management, on the adequacy of the design and effectiveness of the Compliance Risk control framework for the areas for which it has been allocated responsibility. The Product Compliance Officer will be based in Geneva or Zurich and will provide proactive and sound advice on Compliance and regulatory matters to business partners in the Private Bank (PB) and will work closely with other functions of the Bank to ensure compliance with the highest standards of control and processes.Responsibilities: Independent, proactive and forward looking advice to Deutsche Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. employees focused on PB Product businesses (Banking, Lending & Investment Solutions)New product/initiative/transaction review & approvalMarketing material review for complex and tailored productsRepresentation of the Compliance function in local Product related Governance foraRepresentation of the Compliance function in local and regional Bank projectsSupport PB Head of Global Product Compliance in the delivery of global tasks and projectsReview/lead and presentation of key Compliance initiatives/developments to business stakeholdersClose collaboration with Compliance officers and other functions (legal, AFC, business risk management etc.) locally and across regionsPreparation of regular and ad hoc reporting and MIsSkills:At least 4 years of experience in a Compliance or other Control Function role focused on interacting with front-office stakeholdersUniversity degree in business administration, finance, economics, or law. Additional product specific education (e.g. CFA) is considered a plus.Strong knowledge of financial products, including Capital Markets Trading activities, Structured Products, Funds, Deposits, and Lending ProductsStrong knowledge of the Swiss (e.g. FinSA) and the EU (e.g. MiFID) regulatory landscapeGood understanding of the Wealth Management business.
