Product Design and Application Engineer

The company has a team of experienced engineers and technicians who are available to help with any problems that may arise.The product design and application engineer in Gutor shall work in a multi-national, multi-faceted team of leading engineers and experts. In this role, the engineer can demonstrate one’s skill and experience through exciting development projects, including sustainability projects, new product development/introduction, industrial standard compliance, cost-optimization and design standardization. The engineer will also support assembly, testing, quality and site related troubleshooting, and work closely with all other departments to ensure relevant process and products in Gutor are of excellent quality and in a timely manner.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport front end / production / quality / field service in electrical system and component characteristic and design inquiries based on Gutor design rules, knowledge and experienceAble to run sustaining / development projects in addition to supporting daily businessTo maintain engineering databases and design / process documentationsHave a basic understanding of engineering design impact across multiple discipline (e.g. process flow, production feasibility, front-end team capability, physical impact on system like space, heat, voltage-risk, etc.)Additional duties to drive 3rd Party Products topics include:To provide technical support for third party products used to build our solutions for customer.To lead and maintain the implementation of Distribution panels, Automatic Transfer Switches, Static Transfer Switches, Voltage Dropper etc.To define and drive testing procedures and templates required for part qualification of new part introduction together with testbay and quality teamTo implement clear design rules how to integrate third party products in a full customer solution.To work closely with the purchasing department on supporting technical queries for implementation and qualification of new vendors.Knowledge And Skills – RequiredDegree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalentElectrical design engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years)Project management or execution experience (minimum 2 years)Capable to self-organize and drive multiple work priorities in parallel effectivelyDecision-making, able to take decisive actions based on technical and procedural facts and experienceCapable to follow and practice international standard process flows and safety regulations tailored to Gutor requirementsProficient in written and spoken English languageShall be able to use MS.
