The OpportunityGorilla Commerce is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to elevate our product innovation and brand differentiation. In this role, you’ll develop proprietary designs that reflect our brand identity, enhance product performance, and accelerate the concept-to-launch process. You’ll be a key contributor to our in-house design capabilities, helping us build ownable IP and reduce reliance on vendor-led solutions.This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and functionality, with a passion for consumer product design and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.What You’ll DoConcept Development: Translate customer insights and market trends into sketches, CAD files, and design conceptsSurface Design & Patterns: Create original patterns, textures, and finishes that align with brand aesthetics2D/3D Visualizations: Produce renderings and models to communicate design intent to suppliers and internal teamsPrototyping Support: Collaborate with sourcing and vendors to iterate on samples for feasibility and manufacturabilityPackaging Design Collaboration: Support packaging refinement and visual consistency through product renderingsBrand & Logo Application: Ensure cohesive branding across product lines, including logo placement and finishesDesign Standards: Maintain organized design documentation and version controlTrend & Material Research: Stay current with design trends, materials, and manufacturing innovationsSample Iteration: Participate in sample reviews and propose improvements for cost, quality, and user experienceCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Development, Sourcing, QA, and Creative teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to productionWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field1–3 years of experience in consumer product or industrial design (housewares, pet, or outdoor products preferred)Proficiency in CAD and 3D visualization tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot)Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Strong sketching, rendering, and visualization abilitiesUnderstanding of materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, metal fabrication, soft goods)Knowledge of surface design, pattern development, and CMF trendsExcellent communication and collaboration skills across internal and external teamsHighly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with project management tools like Monday.com is a plusWhy Gorilla Commerce?Be a driving force behind product innovation and brand identityCollaborate with passionate teammates in a fast-paced, creative environmentShape proprietary designs that fuel growth and differentiationGrow with a company scaling globally and investing in design excellence
