Role OverviewThe Design Engineer, Product Integration will be responsible for the development of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical interface between the tractor and front loader for various tractor brands. The development of new products is often done in close cooperation with our Partners. This role will be managing several parallel projects and be responsible for the deliveries in those projects, from conception to completion; according to the project plan (sets of plans, etc. In conjunction with the methods department). She/He Is responsible for building a contact network and will have the autonomy to plan, control and report ongoing and future tasks to accomplish this function.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign new product adaptation requested by marketing and sales and/or OEM-customer and in close cooperation with requester, following the customers time plan.Conducts field work performing 3D-scanning and measuring new tractors, prototype test fits and product audits often at or together with the customer. Model scanned structures and use them as a basis for designEnsure product developmentsUnderstand and diagram electrical and hydraulic circuitsSupport production and prototype workshops at the factoryResponsible for planning, controlling and reporting on all ongoing and future tasks.Support JOST sales and support organization by updating the product configurator and support with cause of failure investigations within the area of reasonability Performs successfully under time pressure with several parallel projects ongoing at the same timeRole RequirementsMinimum 2 years previous experience in industrial designCAO proficiencyEffective communication (oral and written), both in French and EnglishTechnical English requiredHigh level knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and finite element analysis (FEA), preferably welded sheet metal constructionMeticulous, structured and ability to independently make design related decisions.Ability to forge positive working relationships within a team structure, both domestically and globallyEffective communication (oral and written), both in French and EnglishBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equal education or experienceExperience with welded sheet metal construction preferredKnowledge of a tractors mechanical, hydraulic and electronic structure is very meritGeneral technical interest and practical hands-on skills is preferredPrevious experience working in PLM preferredOffice location: Matha, France
