Product Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management within their product area. In close collaboration with product teams, they shape user experiences, then translate them into high-quality designs that can be tested, shipped, and refined. Designers are responsible for building elegant, functional products that users love—and want to tell others about.The Payments design team crafts exceptional product experiences that empower users to seamlessly manage global payments, refunds, fraud, and disputes, while continually optimizing performance. This team transforms the intricate world of payments into intuitive solutions, letting users focus on growing their businesses. As part of Payments, the Payments Intelligence team is building our AI-powered features that help Stripe’s users understand, interpret, and improve their payments performance.What you’ll doAs a product designer, you’ll work closely with the product manager and engineering team to envision the future of payments in the Stripe Dashboard and partner with go-to-market teams to bring it to users. That includes new feature development, product quality improvements to our most frequently used workflows, and setting vision for our products to meet new user expectations in an increasingly data and AI-driven world.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand user workflows and pain points, and produce, test and iterate on high quality designs to solve user needsPartner closely with product, engineering, marketing and strategy partners to define a north star and product experience for new featuresPrototype user experiences for user research testing and internal communicationCollaborate with teams across Stripe to craft a seamless dashboard user experienceConduct UXR to test design decisions before shippingCollaborate with our design systems teams to leverage and improve page templates and componentsWho you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum RequirementsHas 7+ years relevant design experience at a product-driven tech companyHas strong craft demonstrated through a portfolio of workDemonstrated skills in prototyping at a high fidelityHas experience collaborating closely with engineering teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills through design deliverables, videos, and written artifactsPreferred QualificationsAre excited about building collaborative relationships with many partnersHas a passion for turning complexity into usable, beautiful experiencesAre a strong design leader comfortable with bringing your point of view to a teamIn-office expectationsOffice-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.Pay and benefitsThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €86,400 - €129,600. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
