Our Nestlé Research and Development Center in Konolfingen (NRDK), Switzerland, develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Milk, Dairy, plant-based and Nutrition products. This includes various process and filling technologies for liquid, powder or sterile products. In addition, it also provides technical assistance and engineering support for major Capital Investment Projects (CAPEX) to our factories.Position Snapshot Location: Konolfingen, SwitzerlandCompany: Société des Produits Nestlé S.A.Act. Rate 100%Type of contract: Permanent contractPosition SummaryWe are looking for a Product Development Specialist, to be responsible for managing the innovation and renovation of products, processes, and systems in Dairy Culinary Solutions. You will build your expertise and apply your knowledge to provide relevant scientific and technical guidance in response to business and consumer needs. Additionally, you will manage the product and project portfolio in I2L and guide junior project team members.A Day in the Life of a Product Development SpecialistContribute and propose innovative ideas and methods to NPTC Food, Food SBUs, and OperationsBuild and document knowledge on the latest trends and developments in the fieldPropose, plan, and deliver technical and scientific support for projectsManage knowledge-building activities with initiative and present results to stakeholdersLead projects according to market briefs, ensuring timely closure of all stage gatesProvide accurate and timely support to Application Groups and assist in product launchesActively participate in expert networks to promote cross-fertilization between sitesMentor junior project team members and develop competencies in the domainWhat Will Make You SuccessfulBSc, MSc, or PhD in Food Engineering, Technology, Sciences, or equivalentSolid experience in Product formulation and development in Dairy based products. Experience in creamy desserts category.Solid experience in R&D or operating/factory Up-to-date knowledge of quality, safety, and hygiene requirementsScientific and technical knowledge in the product portfolioExposure to different parts of the organization (assignments in different Centers or in Operations)Ability to apply a structured problem-solving approach and use appropriate FI ToolsStrong written and oral communication skills, including presentationGood interpersonal and teamwork skills with a strong sense of business and technical interrelationshipsFluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in one other language (French, German, Spanish)Nestlé is committed to the accessibility of its recruitment process.
