If you're interested in leading a team of experienced engineers and researchers to work on exciting projects that have significant impact, we encourage you to apply.Software Engineer (TL), AR/VR - EMEA Responsibilities:Drive the team's goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that make your larger organization more efficientEffectively communicate complex features and systems in detailUnderstand industry and company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologiesPartner and collaborate with organization leaders to help improve the level of performance of the team and organizationIdentify new opportunities for the larger organization and influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideasLead long term technical strategy and roadmap for large cross-company effortsSuggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create an effective feature and technology roadmapIdentify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive large efforts to reduce technical debtMinimum Qualifications:Programming experience in C++ and PythonBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experienceProven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which short-term projects ladder to the long-term missionProven track record of leading exploratory projects from ideation to proof-of-conceptsExperience driving large cross-functional, company or industry-wide engineering effortsExperience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutionsExperience communicating and working across functions to drive solutionsExperience mentoring/influencing experienced engineers across organizationsExperience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume data from varying sourcesExperience in machine learningPreferred Qualifications:PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, Robotics Human-Computer Interaction, Biomedical Engineering or related)Proven track record of leading design and deployment end-to-end systems for consumer-facing hardware (such as edge devices, wearables) demonstrated through leading complex projects involving hardware sensors, signal processing, machine learning for real-world data, and the development of edge/cloud computationExperience in building scalable data pipelines, model training, and deployment frameworks for wearables or mobile devicesExperience with large-scale model training, transfer learning, and data-efficient MLExperience building and maintaining SDKs or developer platforms for ML/data-driven productsAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
