The impact you’ll makeAt Lam, as a Ramp Up Product Engineer, you are an expert on our equipment and on the front lines understanding customer needs and collaborating with various teams to deliver real-time problem-solving to perform our tool in best condition in customer production fab. You are responsible for managing customer site tool ramp up progress, new hardware evaluation, and documentation of hardware data outputs.What You’ll DoProvides technical support for installation, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issuesNew design or prototype hardware items onsite tool evaluation and proliferate to onsite toolsResponsible for making onsite tools up and running. Manage onsite tool up time and tool down root cause pareto to meet required tool up time goalOnsite tool configuration manage and ensure up to dateMaintain and update tool config with spare parts list and work with spares long lead items are pre orderedCIP items develop & escalation supportTechnical support to Regional Product Support / Field Service Engineer for issue escalation activitiesTravel to Lam headquarter to work with Product Group for new hardware develop activities in Lam cleanroom lab.Work in a customer semiconductor fab environment and in a Lam cleanroom labMaintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to face to solve customer issues Minimum QualificationsWho we’re looking forBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, related field with 3+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience; or equivalent work experience.Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.English communication, written and verbal, and customer relationship skills.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suitAble to travel, domestically and internationally, based on customer needs, flexibility to work a variety shifts including compressed and alternative workweeks including overtime and on-call if needed.Preferred QualificationsPrior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
