Job Title: Strategic Product Manager Overview:Medix is currently partnered with a global leader in surgical solutions and orthopedics for craniomaxillofacial and cardiothoracic surgery. Committed to surgical innovation, they offer over 4,000 surgical instruments, titanium implants and patient-specific solutions.The Strategic Product Manager for CMF is a high-impact, cross-functional role responsible for driving the full lifecycle of CMF products post-development. This includes market engagement, strategic project leadership, product adoption, inventory management, and collaboration across R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales. The role requires both technical expertise and business acumen, with significant field presence (~30% travel) to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable product strategies.The position reports to the Assistant Director of New Product Development and offers opportunities to shape product strategy, mentor team members, and define best practices within a growing function.Key Responsibilities:Market Strategy & Field Engagement (≈30% Travel)Visit customer sites, operating rooms (ORs), trade shows, workshops, and conferences to gather insights and drive adoption.Build relationships with surgeons and internal stakeholders to identify market needs and innovative solutions.Stay current on CMF standards of care, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.Product Development & Portfolio LeadershipLead projects from concept to market launch, including feasibility studies and strategic initiatives.Evaluate new concepts, advocate for project prioritization, and maintain deep knowledge of clinical and internal evidence.Translate field feedback into product enhancements, line extensions, or new solutions.Cross-Functional CoordinationOrganize deliverables and meetings for product development milestones, regulatory submissions, and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with Regulatory and Marketing teams to ensure compliance and create educational/product materials.Align with Supply Chain/Inventory teams to ensure product availability for customer adoption.Sales Enablement & EducationDeliver and train sales teams on CMF products.Conduct product in-services, maintain inventory, and support clinical adoption.Present technical product information clearly to customers, sales teams, and leadership.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) or equivalent experience.Direct experience in the CMF or related surgical device industry.Proven product lifecycle ownership from concept to market launch.Strong cross-functional leadership and field presence skills (~30% travel).Ability to collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to support filings, IFUs, and compliance.Experience in R&D or as a Clinical Educator/Specialist.SAP or ERP system proficiency.Inventory/supply chain knowledgeLeadership/mentorship experience managing team members.
