Product Manager - Mobile Phone | Consumer Electronics Location: Brookvale NSW (Hybrid)Type: Full-Time | 4.5 Day work week (Half Day Friday)Reports to: Operations DirectorCompany: Opel Mobile (opelmobile.com.au)About the Role:Opel Mobile is on the lookout for a strategic, hands-on, and commercially minded Mobile Phone | Consumer Electronics Product Manager to lead the roadmap, development, and lifecycle of our mobile and consumer electronics portfolio. This role is central to driving innovation, ensuring product excellence, and delivering value across global markets.Key Responsibilities:Product Roadmap & Financial Ownership:Manage the mobile and consumer electronics product roadmap, including cost structures, RRP strategies, promotional planning, and full P&L accountability for each device.Product Lifecycle Management:Oversee the complete lifecycle of mobile devices—from concept to end-of-life—including inventory planning, order management, shipping coordination, and profitability tracking.Manufacturer & Supplier Relations:Work with key manufacturing partners to develop new devices and manage trading agreements, product pricing, warranty and after-sales support, and ensure social compliance standards are met.Go-to-Market Strategy:Develop and execute launch strategies for each new product, including promotional support and pricing alignment.Market Research & Innovation:Conduct market research to identify consumer pain points and market gaps, translating insights into actionable product roadmaps.Quality Assurance & Customer Service Collaboration:Partner with QA and Customer Service teams to enhance product quality, reduce returns, and improve customer satisfaction through data-driven analysis.Returns Analysis & Continuous Improvement:Analyze product returns, collaborate with the Sales team and QA teams to identify root causes and implement quality improvements.Global Market Development:Collaborate with global sales teams to develop products tailored to international market needs and preferences.Compliance & Engineering Coordination:Work closely with Engineering and Compliance teams to ensure all products meet local regulatory requirements and customer-specific standards.Retail Partner Engagement:Support the sales team in preparing compelling product submissions for key retail partners, ensuring alignment with market trends and partner expectations.What We’re Looking For:Proven experience in product management within the mobile or consumer electronics industry.Strong understanding of supply chain, compliance, and global market dynamics.Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.Why Join Us?Be part of a fast-paced, innovative team shaping the future of mobile technology.
