Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.About the Role:The Product Manager, Screening Algorithms will be the subject matter expert and strategic lead for Dow Jones Risk & Compliance's matching algorithms (both proprietary and third-party). Reporting to the Senior Director of SaaS, this role is responsible for developing and executing the strategy to evolve these algorithms based on market needs, thereby enhancing the company's market proposition. Key duties include overseeing algorithm functionality and explainability, ensuring accurate internal and external documentation, managing the full lifecycle of algorithm changes (from specification to communication), and supporting customer migrations. The role requires extensive collaboration with Technology and Data teams, third-party vendors, Sales, and key accounts globally.You Will:Develop the matching algorithm strategy and understand market opportunities and competitive landscape. Collaborate with research and proposition teams to ensure market-driven needs are met.Lead cross-functional teams to develop, prioritize and deliver matching algorithm enhancements ensuring the roadmap is clearly understood by stakeholders, proposition and sales.Be a key contributor to the Sprint Planning and Backlog Management, ensuring that agreed priorities are adhered to, minor changes are progressed and the Backlog is maintained to retain Engineering utilisation.Assist with the communications (internally and externally) of new feature releases and maintenance of user guides.Demonstrate strong collaboration skills in working with multiple internal and external teams to build out, maintain, and effectively position the matching strategy, within our products, to the marketplace.Define and coordinate the consistent access to, and usage of, explainability information and tools, for all products using our matching algorithmIndependently gather, aggregate and analyze metadata and associated metrics from all products using the matching algorithm to ensure continuity within the Risk & Compliance product suiteServe as a product expert and escalation point for the Customer Services team and for clients, including soliciting feedback and communicating same for product improvementsYou Have:4+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully managing large and complex projects or entire products.Proven ability to develop a product strategy, balancing user needs with business goals, and using data to drive decisions.A solid understanding of technical architecture and the software development process that includes Agile methodologies (Scrum).Strong Project Management experience.The ability to operate with limited supervision and independently manage a product area.Demonstrable experience in scoping, budgeting, scheduling and delivering complex project implementations.Knowledge of search and text matching technologies, machine learning and statistical methods preferredGeneral knowledge of linguistics helpful but not essentialSome experience working with partners and/or outside vendors.Our BenefitsComprehensive Healthcare Plans for you and your family (paid by Dow Jones)Extra paid Time Off (30 days of holidays/year)Possibility to work remotely for 3 months/year (desplazamiento program) or one week of remote work per quarterMeal benefit with Pluxee (171€/month on top of your salary)Retirement Plans (Dow Jones will pay 2% of a members Pensionable Salary and match employee contribution up to a maximum of 3 %).Comprehensive Insurance PlansWell-being Resources (200 USD allowance per quarter, Classpass, etc.)Family Care Benefits & Caregiving SupportSubscription DiscountsEmployee Referral Program#LI-HybridThis is a hybrid remote/in-office role, based in London.
