Built with care by our 10+ product team, this is the underground breakthrough in learning languages, and we’re shooting for Duolingo’s throne.Role OverviewConceptualize, design, and implement immersive onboarding and activation experiences that maximize user understanding, conversion, and retention across web, email, and software. Successfully explain our powerful language learning software to millions of tech-averse users. Blend high-level strategy, impactful visual design, and persuasive copywriting to make users feel like they’re on a crystal clear premium quality product journey from the second they step onto our website and even way beyond the point of purchase.The essential factor by which we select for this role will be your ability to convince as many people as possible to download our software, try it, love it, and pay for it, all while serving an exquisitely entertaining visual and extraordinarily convincing text-based onboarding experience across web, email, and product to visitors and users.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the onboarding flow from the moment users hit our website until they pay and format a habitDesign effective and immersive software onboarding flows from scratch for web, email, and our softwareDirect creative and engineering resources to make sure your plans are executed in time and at a high qualityBe able to flexibly jump from high-level visionary thinking to visual design to fun conversion copywriting and other disciplines all while delivering premium quality for all of themBe a masterful conversion poet who knows what to say at what time to elicit the reaction you wantBalance business needs and UX needs by compromising as little as possible and maximally satisfying bothMeasure the impact of your work through data-driven analytics and by directly talking with users and continually improve the effectivenessCoordinate your plans with the marketing team to ensure strategy and campaign alignmentIncrease conversion by maximally increasing perceived product value before purchaseIncrease retention by always making sure users get the maximum value for their specific use-caseAbility to autonomously work in a fast-paced startup environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong portfolio showcasing your past onboarding work and the impact it had is requiredExperience in cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and marketing teams is requiredExperience with A/B testing and user research to optimize onboarding flows is requiredProficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Posthog) for tracking onboarding metrics is requiredProficiency in design tools (e.g. Figma) is requiredWhy Join UsWe increased revenue 10x over the past year and plan to do the same again over the coming 12 months, so this is a unique opportunity to experience the early stage of a growing startupWe will provide you with all the tools and opportunities necessary to make a direct, meaningful and long-lasting impact on the legacy of our company and the global language learning landscape as a wholeYou will be part of a high-trust community that encourages risk-taking, experimentation and innovationYou will be working alongside ambitious executors and creatives from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplinesPerks & Work CultureRemote WorkWork from anywhere in the eastern hemisphere to ensure overlap with our primarily APAC-based team.Flexible Time Off36 flexible vacation/sick days per year.
