Job Description

Role Objective:The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for the accumulation and investment journey for individual customers, focusing on the following product groups:• Accumulation: Goal-based savings, term savings, etc.• Investment: Insurance, mutual fund certificates, etc.• PFM (Personal Financial Management) – Personal finance management.The PO is accountable for defining and implementing digital products, managing the backlog, and coordinating across departments to deliver a seamless, modern, and scalable customer journey.Key Responsibilities1. Digital Product Development & Implementation• Gather insights from Business, Product, and Data teams to understand customer needs.• Understand the characteristics of accumulation and investment products and translate them into digital solutions.• Propose, design, and implement digital features such as PFM dashboards and investment recommendations.• Monitor and improve products based on customer feedback and business results.2. Backlog Management & Agile Delivery• Manage the backlog, define user stories, and prioritize according to the bank’s strategy.• Work with the Agile squad (PO, development team, Scrum Master) to ensure sprint progress and quality.• Deploy MVPs, conduct pilots, optimize, and scale across the bank.3. Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration• Closely coordinate with units such as Business, Digital Banking, Technology, Data, Risk, Communications, and Finance to implement solutions.• Work with internal and external partners (insurance, funds, fintech/insurtech/wealthtech) to integrate products and platforms.• Update progress and report results to the Project Committee and Executive Board.4. Change Management & Operational Execution• Coordinate training for frontline staff and distribution channels on new products and digital journeys.• Support internal and customer communications.• Track KPIs: number of participating customers, AUM, service fees, engagement level, NPS, retention rate, churn rate, etc.Requirements & ExperienceEducation & Background• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.• Preferred: MBA, CFA, or Agile/Scrum certifications.Experience• 7–10 years of experience in retail banking, investment products, wealth management, or fintech.• Experience in digital product implementation and working in Agile environments.• Preferred candidates have participated in PFM, robo-advisory, or digital investment projects.Technical Skills• Strong understanding of accumulation and investment products (savings, insurance, funds, PFM platforms).• Knowledge of digital customer journeys and omnichannel experience design.• Proficient in Agile, backlog management, and writing user stories.• Ability to perform basic data analysis to evaluate performance and propose improvements.Personal & Leadership Skills• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage personnel within an Agile team.• Logical thinking, problem-solving, and quick decision-making.• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.• Effective communication in both Vietnamese and English.
