Production Labourer

And that’s what we do: our customized sand control solutions allow us to respond quickly to the ever-changing variability of our customers’ vertical and horizontal well operations.General Laborers perform general duties at the Variperm facility, varying depending on the specific department they are working in. Duties include operating basic hand tools, assisting machine operators and welders. Housekeeping and material handling are also components of this position.Work ScheduleThis position may involve various shifts and overtime hours depending on the scope of work. We are looking for day shift coverage.DutiesPerform general tasks as assigned by SupervisorHandle materials – within the shop and outdoors as requiredAssisting various machine operators in setup; moving materials in and out of the shop using overhead hoist and forkliftOperate basic hand tools and powered hand tools.Operate various equipment as described in company proceduresAssist in loading/unloading of pipe deliveries/pick-upsStacking/unstacking pipe adhering to strict proceduresPerform work safely and follow established work proceduresGeneral shop cleaningAdhere to health, safety and quality policies, as well as all company policies and proceduresEnsure work areas and clean and organizedParticipate in training and safety meetingsOther duties as requiredCompetenciesAble to meet deadlines and do so safelyMechanically inclined, ability to use small hand tools and/or power toolsAttention to detailTeam playerStrong aptitude to understand drawingsPrepare, organize, and stage housings for machining and assembly processes.Good verbal and written communication skillsAble to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in EnglishGrade 12 basic math skillsQualifications/RequirementsGrade 12 or GED – additional education past high school would be an assetManufacturing and forklift/overhead crane training or experience an assetGood physical fitnessStand or walk for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate materialsLift and carry materials weighing up to 45 lbs, lift items weighing more than 45 lbs with assistance from other workers, forklift and/or overhead hoistExposure to fine dust and airborne particles, high noise levelAbout FETFET (Forum Energy Technologies, Inc.) is a global company, serving the crude oil, natural gas, and renewable energy industries.
