Role Purpose,Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in the Whey Powder department with the main responsibilities is for mass balance and GMP on the Plant. Drive the GMP and Standardizing with knowledge in Ultra Filtration. Successful candidates need to have at least 5 years' relevant experience within FMCG environment, must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge in dairy manufacturing. Must compile & manage production results and full adherence to all Food Safety, General Safety & Health policies, procedures and legislation. Must have at least 5 year’s experiences in a supervisory role. Be fluent in English and be computer literate with sound knowledge in excel., Requirements,Production Management qualification [NQF7]Good knowledge of the manufacturing processes of cheese, butter, whey and milk powders.At least 5 years' relevant experience within FMCG environmentGood knowledge of "mass balancing".Knowledge of milk standardization for cheese making.Knowledge of CIP systems.NQF4 or higher dairy qualification especially for cheddar, gouda, mozzarella and feta.Good interpersonal skillsExcellent problem solving skillsTechnical knowledge of dairy manufacturing equipmentAble to handle pressureStrong leadership abilitySupervisory experienceSound knowledge of Whey and Milk Ultra Filtration Product knowledgeExperience in MS OfficeWilling to work shifts, long hours, weekends, public holidays and overtimeExposure to HACCP and FSSC22000 advantageousAttention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and statistical knowledge.Willing to perform Ad hoc tasks.To be accurate and have a sharp sense of punctuality.To be reliable, trustworthy, pro-active and energetic.Able to work with people.Willing to work in an extremely environment conditions.Not be afraid of heights., Duties and Responsibilities,Responsible for all the pre-milk reception test and offloading of milk into the silos.Responsible for Mass Balance and GMP on the Plant.Drive the GMP (Mass balancing) best practices in the Plant.Record and manage fat and protein % in the milk, whey and cream from reception to the final product.Prevent losses of fat and protein during production processes.Do inspection of CIP process and cleaning of Milk Tankers.Skim and standardize raw milk to a specific protein level.Standardize milk to a specific F: P value for the different cheese recipes.Capture relevant information in system and send reports.Initiating and implementing productivity improvement projects.Quality Management and housekeeping.Liaises with internal and external clients.People and performance management.Manage OEE and BPCS systems to improve efficiency in the department.Ensure that all administrative duties (control and check sheets) are completed as required.Compile and evaluate the Key Performance Areas of the people reporting to you.Manage KRONOS on a daily basisReport all related problems to the Plant Manager.
