Production Manager

We have one of the largest, most innovative and experienced wireless and solar solutions teams with dedicated engineers, product managers, manufacturing, logistics and R&D employees.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced, professional Production Manager from a technical environment to safely lead our Bayswater manufacturing operation and team, through the next period of strategic growth and implement and drive change.Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, this position requires an experienced individual ready for the challenges of leading the team at our busiest production facility in Victoria, manufacturing and supplying our world class antenna products globally.You will transition into the role of Production Manager where you will ensure quality and delivery performance and drive manufacturing operations and improvements. Leading across Production, Warehouse, and Planning with a primary focus on exceeding customer expectations while ensuring the welfare of our team.The role will also responsible for some facilities management aspects of the Bayswater site.The ResponsibilitiesManage operations, ensure transparent and appropriate reporting of performance to the business on key metrics for production, warehouse and dispatch.Drive a culture of exceeding customer quality and delivery expectations and establish effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Drive improvement initiatives leading to ongoing business growth for the production team.Develop the performance of the team and ensure appropriate succession plans are in place for all critical roles and development plans for high potential staff.Maintain and develop a safe, enjoyable working environment ensuring all manufacturing site operations exceed needed compliance requirements and policies.Coordinate facility security, improvements and maintenance as required.Provide support at our second Melbourne manufacturing site as required.About youPassionate about Australian manufacturing.10+ years of Production/Manufacturing / Engineering management ideally in a busy, high mix environment with technical products.You will have a highly demonstrated understanding of safety.Strong mechanical or production engineering experience.High attention to detail with a sense of urgency, great communication and organisation skills.Pragmatic and adept at finding solutions to improve product and processes.Strong relationship building skills and cooperation with other teams across the business.Natural and engaging on quality and safety, with authentic leadership and people management skills and the ability to grow and develop a team.A determined attitude and desire to succeed are key attributes we will seek in this role.
