Job Description

The production operator is responsible for preparing raw materials, operating, and maintaining laboratory equipment used in production lines to produce finished goods, including a wide-range of first in class molecular diagnostic test kits, extraction reagents and buffers, to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible to follow standard operating procedures and detailed work instructions to ensure quality excellence of the finished goods. The position is also responsible to prioritise safety and maintain a clean working environment within the production area and to ensure that products are free from contamination. Key DutiesProducing goods to the highest quality standards and adhering to ISO 13485 manufacturing standards.Ensuring personal protection and safety procedures are adhered to. Following detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.Performing in process checks on raw materials and reagents.Creating batches of products using a variety of automated and manual liquid handling and maintaining accurate batch records.Operating liquid handling robotics.Packaging and labelling final products.Follow GLP housekeeping procedures.Working on a roster across a variety of operative tasks.Ensuring individual training records is maintained and kept up to date. Meeting department quality objectives. Delivering products on-time as per the production schedule.Required Skills and Experience Work well within a highly collaborative environment with a diverse group of individuals.Highly organised. Strong attention to detail.Excellent ability to follow detailed work processes and instructions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Quality focussed.Fluency in oral and written english.Required QualificationBachelor’s degree in science or a related discipline.
