Department: Supply ChainReports To: CEO⸻The Manufacturing Manager at IGL Coatings leads all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence while shaping the long-term manufacturing direction. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a continuous improvement mindset. They must collaborate across departments to ensure smooth production, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations. ⸻Key Competencies1. Technical CompetenciesManufacturing Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute strategies aligned with business goals; plan capacity, resources, and timelines. Operations & Optimization: Manage daily production, troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and reduce costs. Safety, Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and quality standards. KPI & Data Management: Track production metrics, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions. Budget & Resource Management: Optimize manpower, materials, and equipment; identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. ⸻2. Behavioral CompetenciesTeam Leadership & Development: Mentor teams, drive performance, oversee recruitment and training. Accountability: Take ownership of results; ensure follow-through and adherence to standards. Growth Mindset: Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and upskilling. Sustainability: Implement environmentally responsible practices and efficient use of resources. Collaboration & Communication: Build trust across teams, communicate effectively, and foster a respectful work environment. ⸻Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic manufacturing plans aligned with business objectives, policies, and market trends. Lead and mentor the manufacturing team, supporting recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives. Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and implement lean and continuous improvement methodologies. Monitor KPIs and other metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive operational excellence. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and enhance workflow. Manage budgets and resource allocation to achieve operational and financial targets. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management. ⸻QualificationsRequired: 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems. Experience in KPI monitoring, resource planning, and process optimization. Ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred / Added Advantage: Experience in chemical, coatings, or related industries. Certification or knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma. Familiarity with ERP systems for production planning and tracking.
