Job DescriptionAn opportunity has become available for a Production Supervisor position to join the Prestige Clothing. ResponsibilitiesIdentify training required to develop a multi-skilled production linePre-production meetings must be attended prior to On-Line dateEnsure Line changeovers are done in the shortest possible timeEnsure line is set up according to the line balancing sheet. Do Line balance to ensure full utilisation of staffEnsure lines achieve hourly targetFollow the Production Plan and report deviations from the planEnsure downtime is kept to a minimum by reporting faulty equipment immediatelyEnsure Bundle sheets information ties in with actual Cutwork delivered to lineMaintain WIP levels by ensuring minimum garments on work stationsReport Not In Full non-conformances immediately Ensure styles are manufactured to required quality standardEnsure style is off-line 24 hours prior to ASN date and timeEnsure deliveries are in full to Cutting Order and POMMaintain needle policyDiscipline of employees for misconduct or poor performanceRecord downtime accurately on MISDo capacity checks and performance boosting to achieve hourly targetReturn all completed trims to the trim store after completion of style.RequirementsGrade 10Supervisory experience for 1 or more years Clothing industry experience would be advantageousClear criminal recordGarment construction knowledgeMicrosoft Office (Desirable)Good contactable referencesCompetencies And Behaviours For SuccessTeam playerGood communications skillsPunctualityExcellent Interpersonal SkillsPersuading & Influencing Skills Leadership qualitiesPreference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act Applications can be emailed to: AsheekaSa@tfg.co.za / CourtneyK@tfg.co.zaAbout UsWho we are is because of our people.
