About The Job Production Supervisor (Fabrication)Purpose of the Role:The Production Supervisor leads and motivates tradesmen to safely deliver high-quality work that meets project plans and standards. This role ensures that work is executed efficiently, on time, and in full alignment with budget, quality, and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement daily/weekly task plans aligned with production goals.Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with HSE protocols (JSEA, PPE, Permits).Monitor labour and material usage, reduce rework, and promote cost-efficient operations.Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction.Track team skills and performance and implement coaching and corrective actions as needed.Promote accountability, teamwork, and Austal's values across the department.Qualifications & ExperienceGraduate of any relevant course or degree. (Trade course is an advantage.)At least 3 years' experience in trade-specific shipbuilding.Hands-on technical know-how in trade-specific drawing interpretation.At least 2 years of supervisory experience.Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
