Production Supervisor / Manager

Job Summary:In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. Supervisors should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. At the division level, responsible for machining, fabricating, welding, assembling, or for the processing operations required in the production of the finished product, goods, or services of the organizational unit. Reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is responsible for department personnel, quality, production and inventory control, etc.This Position is a First/Second-Line Supervisory. The highest Level Supervised is First-Line Supervisors / Leads.Job Responsibilities:Supervises staff to produce manufactured products, and organizes and monitors workflowAccomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow to the Director of ManufacturingMaintains a safe and clean work environment by training and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and proceduresOversees and coaches employees Identifies issues in efficiency and suggests improvementsEnforces strict safety guidelines and company standardsEnsures production plans are completed on timeCommunicate with other manufacturing departments Identifies and troubleshoots production issues, and escalates issues to the Director of Manufacturing as neededCreates and justifies purchase requisitions for items to support the manufacturing teamsAbility to adhere to ISO 9001/2015 standards Qualifications:Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar roleExperience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and toolsDemonstrated experience in performance evaluations for employees Prior experience in lean manufacturing Conflict resolution and writing and delivering disciplinary actions Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office productsOrganizational and leadership skillsCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a results-driven approachProblem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of ERP / MRP systems High School DiplomaBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company match, disability insurance, life insurance, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical illness.Pay Range: $75,000 – $90,000 per yearSkyline Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer; all decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected status.Powered by JazzHRjCLXLiCgds
