Job Description
Job PurposeThe Prof. European customs role will ensure sufficient and timely support to the Manager European customs and the wider customs team with the cross border flows, tax compliance and tax reporting. The role will also be responsible for tax reconciliations, control framework enhancement, risks mitigation and opportunities execution.Key Responsibilities Ensure timely and accurate customs procedures (import & export clearance), filing, reporting and archiving across all CCEP entities. Liaise between internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, hauliers, customs brokers) to ensure smooth supply chain flows. Support internal stakeholders across the organisation (e.g. Supply Chain, Commercialisation, CDO and Capital equipment, Accounts payable, etc.) with customs issues and queries. Support the team in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities, and risk mitigation procedures. Support automation of customs processes where possible. Perform regular reviews over customs clearance documents and ensure tax compliance. Perform reconciliations over tax accounts. Support the customs team with internal and external audit queries.Key Stakeholders Internal: Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Procurement, Centralization, SSC, Internal ControlsExternal: Customs authorities, customs brokers, third party suppliers & customers, transport companies, external auditorsExperience Preferred Expertise of customs & international trade principles, legislation, policies and processes Minimum of 1 year experience in customs & trade, preferably in a multi-national organisation Experience with SAP preferableQualifications Required University degree essential Professional accounting and/or tax qualification preferredFunctional Technical Skills Required Accounting Knowledge - Basic Accounting Process and System Knowledge – Intermediate Corporate Finance and Cash Management – Intermediate Tax Knowledge – Intermediate Data-Analysis and Reporting – Intermediate Risk Identification and Assessment – Basic Audit Knowledge – Basic Supporting Initiatives & Projects – Basic Problem Solving - IntermediateBehavioural Competencies Preferred Excellent communication skills Resolve daily issues with minimal direction Be able to collaborate with cross-functional teamsNiche skills: Expertise on customs regulations within the EU and UK jurisdictions. Basic knowledge on wider indirect tax area. Basic knowledge on logistics processes.Language capability English+ other CCEP language is advantage
