The Professional Relations Specialist is responsible for increasing registrations across all levels of care in their assigned territory by driving awareness and demand of program services to meet or exceed established registration goals of The Emily Program throughout assigned territory. AccountabilitiesDevelop and execute a written quarterly business development plan which will include strategies/tactics used to generate awareness and demand pipeline within the designated territory to meet or exceed registration targets monthly, enhance program awareness, and positively impact reputation. Accountable for the maintenance and growth of referral relationships and recovery of lost referents within an assigned region using the outreach team sales process and ideal customer profile (ICP) framework. Works collaboratively with Professional Relations Associates on new business acquisition prospecting efforts as part of a designated team. Supports referring provider needs and admissions conversion goals by providing clarity on the admissions process, updates on referrals as needed, triaging questions for clinical team members, and addressing concerns or feedback as issues arise. Develop new and emerging referral channels by creating opportunities to increase awareness of our services among providers, to increase program registrations. Provide opportunities for educating and networking with professionals about eating disorders. Represent Veritas Collaborative and/or The Emily Program in a highly professional manner at events, conferences, and provider activities. Work closely with the marketing team in providing input on collateral and resources; identifying support needed for outreach efforts; and planning and execution of regional event/conference activities with a focus on driving positive return. Maintain current knowledge and provide reporting of market intel and the competitive landscape within assigned territory. Analyze referral patterns to develop customer-level marketing plans. Timely Sales Force CRM entry providing current contact information, activities, task follow-up, and regular performance dashboard review required to effectively manage provider relations and accomplish territory business goals. Take the initiative to seek coaching, mentorship, and support from the Manager and other leadership to remove barriers to success and resolve performance concerns. Work independently with an elevated level of self-motivation and achievement of goals, and collaboratively as a participating member of the Outreach team and the larger Communications department. Presents as a brand ambassador of the mission, vision, guiding principles, ethics, and goals of the company. Timely submission of all credit card receipts, coding of charges, and personal expense reports. Professional Qualifications2+ years’ experience working in sales, business development, or account management roles. Experience working in behavioral health or eating disorder outreach is preferred but not required. Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM tools Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time within assigned territory. Must possess a current, valid U.S. Driver’s License. Must have reliable transportation. Education QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred. Preference for a degree in marketing, communications, psychology, or social work, but not required. In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, high school diploma in addition to 4+ years of relevant experience required. Clinical background preferred but not required. General SkillsDemonstrate professionalism in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with colleagues, clinicians, and all referral sources. Ability to analyze territory, develop a comprehensive outreach plan, and implement strategies to win back business, retain established and grow existing professional referral database. Demonstrate success in developing complex accounts in hospitals, treatment centers, and large organizations. Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently. Demonstrate computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Workplace Environment: Ability to work on a computer for extended periods. Ability to adjust to workflow pace that fluctuates.  Ability to travel ranging up to 70% - 90% within assigned territory, depending on territory.
