Professional Services Solution Architect

Job PurposeThe Solution Architect will work with clients to solve business problems through the use of our world-class web deployed solutions. Will be ultimately responsible for the successful implementation and support of these solutions. This will be driven by the design, configuration and deployment of the Tungsten Automation product suite. This role is a Project Leadership position, leading both the client interaction and the system implementation.We strongly believe that this role is more fulfilling than traditionally segmented roles and provides our clients with a more efficient and value added project team. Solution Architects must have strong intellectual skills, a high level of enthusiasm and be very excited about providing great solutions to world-class customers.Key ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for the integrity of the solution design and development of assigned projects meeting the business needs of the client and following Tungsten Automation implementation standardsOwn resolution of technical and product issues on assigned projects from initial point of engagement through go-live of the solutionEnsure best practices and consistent delivery approaches are utilized on assigned projectsProvide input to Project Managers on project planning and estimating efforts for each assigned projectStructure work and produce deliverables that align with the scope and budget of projectsStructure and drive design reviewsCommunicate the risks and benefits of design/architectural options to an audience with diverse technical backgroundsEnsure all projects utilize development standardsParticipate in the development of solutions conceived, driven and owned by Consulting ServicesCreate high quality solution design and design documentationPresent, articulate and defend the design to clientsManage client expectations related to the design to reach successful client sign-offConduct code reviews where appropriateProvide oversight to Consultants to ensure all project work is consistent with the solution design and Tungsten Automation implementation standardsProvide guidance and mentorship to Consultants in technical and product knowledgeParticipate in identifying and creating re-usable assets to improve efficiency and consistency of delivery across projects in the areas of design, installation and migrationAssist in business development in terms of solution definition scope and estimation efforts, where appropriateRequired SkillsFive to Eight years of consulting experience3-5 years of implementation experienceDemonstrated exceptional technical skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively influence and align client thinking and agendaStrong written communication, verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to effectively able to navigate client's organization to facilitate the completion of project deliverablesAbility to solve complex and ambiguous technical problems using Tungsten Automation experience, creativity and sound judgmentUnderstanding and application of basic project management concepts, i.e. scope management, issue management, schedule management and client managementAbility to work effectively in a team environment and independentlyAbility to understand the functional design and technical project requirementsExcellent communication skillsDemonstrated understanding of complete Tungsten Automation implementation methodologyOracle based skills in areas such as Oracle RDBMS architecture, design, and tuning; SQL, PL/SQL, and JAVA programming languages; software development, architecture, and customizationWorking knowledge of one of the following enterprise applications: Oracle E-Business Suite (AP, AR, Payroll, HR, etc.) and SAPAbility to design algorithms and code for efficiency and reuseAbility to explain and defend technical decisions to a technical audienceAbility to understand and interpret complex technical documentationAble to assist in business development activities including supporting definition of scope and estimation. Ability to effectively interact with prospects in a business development situationDemonstrates ability to present the Tungsten Automation Solutions to multiple levels (CTO/CIO level, developer level, etc.) and areas (functional and technical) within a client organizationProven track record of delivering projects on time and within budgetBS/BA or equivalentDeeply knowledgeable in the capabilities and implementation of Tungsten Automation products for the specific solution areaAbility to play a leadership role within the Tungsten Automation Project TeamUnderstands the overall project plan and specific scope of projectsAbility to see the big picture when making decisions and able to estimate effort for implementation tasksDemonstrates good judgment in making decisionsMBA is a plus
