We want to transform healthcare infrastructure so that people can not only age well but live well and THRIVE.Job DescriptionThe Program Director is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive resident engagement and activity program to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the Residents within the community. Assumes the responsibility to develop and administer a well-rounded community-wide social program schedule for both Assisted Living and Memory Care.Responsibilities And DutiesAssumes the responsibility for the design and development of recreation and activity programs to meet the assessed needs, interests, and capabilities of the Residents in the communityCreates resident histories and profiles with family involvement. Summarizes information from histories. Shares information with associates as well as develop activities based on these interestsAssumes responsibility for scheduling and coordinating miscellaneous social programs for the entire community and specific units (i.e., educational programs, entertainment programs, special events, games, group programs, spiritual services, etc.)Creates a monthly social program calendar, has the calendars printed, and distributes them to community personnel and residentsCoordinates programs with other departments in the community and interfaces with all personnel as appropriateSeeks partnerships with local organizations to engage in programming at the communityAssists with the development and provision of training and orientation programs for volunteersDrive the community vehicle for resident outingsResponsible for creating and maintaining a monthly budgetQualificationsQualificationsOne to three years related experience and/or training in leading/creating activities for the elderlyHigh school diploma or higher education preferredExcellent verbal and written communicationExhibit strong time management and organizational skillsMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionWilling to work flexible hoursProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsPhysical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 25 lbs.
