Project and Operations OfficerBrief Description of the OrganizationEuropean Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) brings together young leaders committed to democratic values, civic activism, and strengthening resilient societies. With over 830 members in 23 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, and the South Caucasus, EDYN supports youth leaders through programs, exchanges, and capacity-building initiatives that enhance their leadership skills, cross-border cooperation, and democratic engagement. Headquartered in Bratislava, Slovakia.Job Description, Responsibilities and DutiesEDYN is seeking a Project & Operations Officer to manage the implementation, administration, and coordination of our democracy, leadership, and civic engagement projects.This role is ideal for someone who is motivated to grow in international project management, civil society work, and youth empowerment.You will be responsible for overseeing project implementation, coordinating activities across EDYN’s programmes, and managing the operational and administrative tasks that keep our work running smoothly. This includes handling project documentation, supporting financial administration and reporting, organising logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.You will work closely with young leaders from our network across 23+ countries, as well as with EDYN’s partners and donors committed to strengthening democracy and active citizenship.What You’ll DoManage and support the implementation of EDYN projects, including events, trainings, workshops, and international exchanges.Oversee project administration, including documentation, grant reporting, budgeting support, contracts, and compliance with donor requirements.Maintain and improve internal project management systems, schedules, and records to ensure smooth daily operations.Lead logistical planning for activities and ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outputs.Coordinate communication and engagement with EDYN members, partners, donors, and other stakeholders.Contribute to the development of new project concepts, partnerships, and funding opportunities.What We OfferOpportunity to work with inspiring young leaders, civil society actors, and partners across EuropeDynamic, friendly, and mission-driven team environmentFlexible working hours and the possibility of working from home officeOffice located in the center of Bratislava in a modern co-working space The SpotClear opportunities for professional growth and long-term developmentRequirements for the EmployeeEducationUniversity education (Bachelor’s degree)Language SkillsEnglish – Proficiency (C1–C2)Slovak – is a plusOther KnowledgeMicrosoft Office – advancedGoogle Workspace - advancedFamiliarity with other digital tools is a plus (e.g., Smartsheets, project management tools)Personality Requirements and Skills – What We’re Looking ForExcellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.Interest in civil society, democracy, youth engagement, or international cooperation.Proactive, responsible, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environmentOther languages are an assetPrevious experience in project management, event coordination, or NGO work is an advantage.Contract typetrade licenseStart datebased on agreementWage 1300-1600 EUR/month (Based on experience)
