About the JobResponsible for undertaking project control and reporting responsibility of complex medium and large-scale projects. This position will require participation in all phases of the project life cycle including proposal development, front end development, constructability, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Responsible for making independent evaluations of project status based on interpretation of reports using both own experience and that of assigned project team.Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Annual Salary based on qualifications, skills, training, experience, and location.Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and locationDiscretionary Annual Bonus: Subject to company performance and individual contribution.Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: Medical, Dental and Vision plans, 401k, generous PTO and paid company holidays, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, learning & development programs and more!Specific Role Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed quality project schedules.Ensure project schedules include an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), dependencies, constraints, resources, costs, baselines, and coding.Use and in-depth understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM).Schedule of values development.Facilitate and lead weekly project review/update meetings with project teams.Contribute to overall project planning through reporting on project schedule compliance and deliverables.Responsible for cost loading project schedules. Monitor and communicate the information to the project and Cost Management teams.Responsible for resource loading project schedules. Monitor and communicate the information to the project and Production Management teams.Monitor scope of work and participate in the Change Management process to ensure compliance with contract requirements. When change is needed, assist in the development of change order requests, and monitor and track schedule and cost impacts.Participate in contract/subcontract reviews and evaluations. Ensure the scope of work is clear and understood by the project team.Provide support to project teams and department directors in planning, managing, and monitoring major projects.Provide supervision and guidance for Project Controls Analysts, supervising daily duties, project guidance, and ad hoc project requests.Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of a portfolio of jobs in assigned area and facilitate efforts to drive productivity on various projects leveraging local teams, company tools, and individual knowledge/experience.Coordinate the preparation of internal and external reports through gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and information from a project.Lead Project Controls department initiatives to drive continuous improvement.Audit and refine department processes to optimize data collection for reporting and performance.Continually search for ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.Anticipates needs before they arise and presents solutions to project management that encompass issues at hand.Understand expectations that were set and recognize when issues/events may affect delivery.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years’ experience.4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another technical field from an accredited university.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred. Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferred.Extensive working knowledge of construction scheduling techniques, cost control, estimating, change management, risk management, and progress reporting methods.Advanced experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Advanced skills using Power Query, Power BI, PowerPivot and/or SQL and knowledge of database management and manipulation, plus ability to interpret computerized data and systems a plus.Experience in planning/scheduling on concrete construction projects a plus.Understanding contracts, standard commercial T&C’s, contract compliance, invoice auditing, and proposal experience.Ability to create excellent working relationships with project teams and senior management.Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and confidence.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Extraordinary attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.About UsConcrete Strategies is a full-service national concrete contractor with the in-house resources and expertise to safely self-perform a wide variety of commercial construction including all aspects of cast in place concrete, precast erections, and concrete restoration.
