SSVO/302/1125The mandate of the Unit for Graduand Career Services (UGCS) at Stellenbosch University (SU) is to prepare students for their transition from education to employment. This position in the UGCS forms a crucial part of that transition. The Project Coordinator: Graduate Recruitment's role is to organise and manage network opportunities between students and graduate employers. These network opportunities include career fairs and company presentations that the incumbent arranges in collaboration with departments and other partners. The Project Coordinator: Graduate Recruitment will serve as the primary contact person between the UGCS and the employers. This position, in collaboration with faculties, departments, student societies and other relevant partners, provides career development support, ensuring that students develop SU's graduate attributes and successfully transition into the world of work.The Project Coordinator: Graduate Recruitment will also be part of a multidisciplinary team that uses data-driven decision-making to enhance student outcomes. The ideal candidate should have experience in recruitment, events management and career development, be adept at managing complex recruitment issues with empathy and professionalism, and be dedicated to student success initiatives.Duties/PligteOrganising and managing the annual graduate recruitment programme, particularly the annual career fairs.Managing contract staff during the graduate recruitment programme.Advising employers on the best way forward to address their needs and deciding on a recruitment strategy.Publishing the annual graduate recruitment programme.Co-managing the third money stream income of the UGCS.Managing communication and marketing of career opportunities to students via mailshots with job opportunities and career resources to targeted student groups.Assisting with recruiting representatives for panel discussions and networking events such as Career Khulumas.Collaborating with student bodies, faculties, and departments to promote UGCS networking services.Collaborating with faculties and academic departments to arrange World of Work events/presentations.Job Requirements/Pos VereistesBachelor's degree/advanced diploma in Industrial Psychology, Recruitment, Human Resources Management, or a related field.At least three years' relevant experience in graduate recruitment or HE career services.A strong understanding of recruitment and selection processes.Proficiency in social media and marketing.At least three years' experience in organising exhibition/career network events.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and another official South African language (bilingual proficiency preferred).Strong computer literacy and information management skills.Organisational, presentation, and conflict management skills.Strong attention to detail and professionalism.Good project management skillsComputer skills in the MS-Office environment.Soft SkillsDetail orientated.A strong student-centred approach. The ability to connect with students, academic staff and company representatives.The ability to work under pressure.The ability to work effectively in a team. Effective time management skills.Interest in the national and international world of work developments.
