Project Developer – Utility-Scale Solar (Austria)Our client is a well-backed renewable energy developer rapidly expanding its project pipeline across Austria. They’re looking for a Project Developer who wants to take ownership of their own pipeline, close municipal engagement, and the chance to take projects from first idea through to construction readiness.This is a lean, entrepreneurial environment; decisions are fast, the team is supportive, and strong performers have clear room to grow.ResponsibilitiesSupport the identification, evaluation and securing of suitable sites for large-scale ground-mounted PV projects across AustriaAssist in land-rights negotiations together with the legal teamCoordinate grid connection and grid-compatibility requests with Austrian network operatorsBuild and maintain relationships with approving authorities, municipalities, landowners, utilities and other key stakeholdersDrive the permitting and approval process in line with Austrian planning rules up to RTBPresent project concepts to municipalities and support local negotiation processesManage external consultants, planning partners and development contractorsTake responsibility for project reporting, timelines, and budget oversightProfile SoughtDegree in a relevant discipline (renewables, environmental sciences, geography, agriculture, law, economics, engineering etc.)Structured, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to take ownership and solve problems quicklyExperience in renewable energy project development in Austria, ideally with a local stakeholder networkStrong negotiation and communication skills with confidence in municipal and landowner discussionsFluent German and strong English; additional languages an advantageComfortable travelling across Austria and working independentlyWhat the Client OffersSignificant responsibility in a professional yet entrepreneurial teamFlexible working hours and home-office optionsA fast-growing platform with flat hierarchies and real influence over the pipelineA permanent, secure employment setup with competitive compensationOngoing training and strong long-term development opportunities
