A solid technical and business understanding of land acquisition as well as permitting & development process in RES is crucial, we welcome candidates with local experience and a willingness to learn about other markets in the region.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeDeveloping existing and new projects through all stages of the process from greenfield to RTB - intent confirmation from TANESCO, land acquisition, environmental clearance, connection to the grid etc., Leveraging your expertise in renewable energy (solar, wind, and energy storage) to ensure smooth project execution and overcome challenges.Role DescriptionDrive and lead renewable energy (RES) processes, from land acquisition through the permitting stage to ready-to-build statusFollow the renewable energy landscape to be up to date with best practices.Establish partnerships and foster collaboration with local stakeholders.Source potential renewable energy projects (SPP and other schemes), utilizing your keen understanding of the industry and geographical landscape.Lead in the establishment and nurturing of relationships with individual landowners and communities, demonstrating exceptional follow-up behavior and transparent communication.Develop projects in cooperation with technical advisors, local and central authorities, TANESCO and other stakeholders, and the head office in Poland.Display a commitment to travel, spending approximately 3,5 days per week in the field, where you will conduct site visits, engage with landowners, meet authorities and technical consultants to make sure that the project is advancing at the expected paceActive involvement in securing and negotiating financing for projects with local banks and international DFIs.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in RES project development (all stages to RTB).Experience with permitting process for RES projects, including contacts with relevant administrationPossess a grasp of basic real estate legal principles to navigate the intricacies of land acquisition.Exhibit confidence in public speaking and negotiation, allowing you to effectively engage with landowners and community representatives.Strong knowledge of the RES industry (with a focus on large-scale PV and wind projects), and experience with projects in other Sub-Saharan countries is a plus.Proficiency in English, both written and oral.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills.Ability to work across time zones and flexibility to work outside standard hours.Ideally, You Will HaveExperience working in or with a remote team.Understanding of cultural differences in international markets.Experience in securing and negotiating financing for RES projects.What We OfferThe opportunity to work on exciting and innovative projects in the renewable energy sector, supported by a professional and dynamic team.Work on interesting and modern investment projects in the industry of the future, with the support of a professional and energetic team,The chance to implement your own ideas and make a meaningful impact on the future of renewable energy.
